The Romance Studio Review

In 1943, the country is in turmoil; the war in Europe is taking a toll on the military. Jason Borseau is only 22 years old, yet he is one of the most revered B-17 pilots in Europe. He and his crew have flown 14 successful missions, with only a few scrapes to mark them.
The next mission will change his life forever.
In 1943, 12-year-old Kathryn Whittaker finds out the hard way that the person most affected by divorce is usually the child. The stigma her parents have cast on her, the inability to cope with people that used to be her friends, but are now tormentors, forces Kathryn to turn away from her parents, and the idyllic life she’s always known. She begins a journey to her grandparents, estranging herself from her parents. She has no way of knowing it will be forever.
It’s 1945, and the war is over. After boarding the Super Chief at a railroad station in Pendleton, Oregon, Kathryn encounters a young air force officer, obviously battle worn and mentally scarred. She’s upset about her parents’ recent remarriages. Jason has just completed his journey to visit the families of his crew who died during a raid on the ball-bearing factories in Schweinfurt, Germany. Though Kathryn is less than civil to him, he is kind to her. Without knowing his name, with only the handkerchief he lent her as a remembrance, the officer maintains a place in her heart and in her dreams.
After several years of abusing alcohol to dull the pain of his last ill-fated mission, Jason wakes up to find himself married to a child-abusing psycho. Doing the only thing he can to protect his boy, he leaves her and files for divorce. Other than his beloved son, Jason’s career as a broadcasting executive at radio station KCOY in Yuma, Arizona, is the only sane thing in his life. Until the “man” his partner hires turns out to be a woman.
In 1952, Kathryn Whittaker leaves her life in a convent to discover what the world holds for her. Accepting a job at a radio station in Arizona, Kathryn begins another life-changing journey. She becomes one of the pioneer female radio broadcasters. This not only puts her in the limelight, but also in the line of sight of mysterious people that will stop at nothing until Jason is destroyed.
A murder. A kidnapping. A love that time cannot kill. And killers who will try again and again to rip Jason and Kathryn apart forever. This book is enthralling in its emotional aspects, brilliant in its love story, an extremely thrilling mystery. This novel is a who-dun-it that keeps you guessing until the very end.
Great! Highly recommended.
